CH 1 -Human Activities.

A. Meaning of Human activity.

Human activities mean all those activities which human being undertake .Human activities are undertaken to satisfy human wants.these activities continue throughout life because wants wants are unending,unlimited & recurring.
Other human activities (eg.playing, praying,sleeping etc)produces no direct benefits.
The main characteristics of human activities are as follows:-

1. Human activities are activities which can be undertaken only by human beings eg.men,women,children.These activities involve human effort.
2. Human activities are undertaken to satisfy human wants which are unlimited.
3. Human activities continue throughout the life.
4. Human activities have  wide range.
5. Human activities are performed both to earn money and as well as to obtain personal satisfaction.

B. Types of Human Activities.

  All human activity may broadly be classified into two categories:

1.Economic activity.

2.Non-economic activity.

1. Economic activity

 Economic activities are all the human activities which are undertaken to earn a living and there by satisfy human wants the main object of this activity is to an income and create wealth. The money earnt through work is used to satisfy wants . For example teachers in school or college, attend the patient in his clinic and A shopkeeper sells goods to customer. Economic activities are concerned with the production distribution and exchange of goods and services. Activities create utility and result in the production of wealth.
